Over the past week I’ve tried a few different salad (and salad-like) recipes and I thought I’d share some of the winners with you.
Don’t let the dressing scare you off… this is a wonderful salad. I’ve made it twice now and have decided that both grilled steak and tomatillos are good additions. I chose to use a Sheep Feta and it works very well. I wouldn’t suggest a goat feta for this salad.
This salad is perfect as-is. I attemtped a variation using Tuna instead of chicken the second time I made it. Mistake. Big mistake. If you don’t have ponzu, mix a little citrus juice with soy for a similar taste.
Okay, this isn’t really a salad, but it is almost one. This is another scary sounding recipe, but it is quite good. I made very minor additions (I added grilled tofu, some thin slices of bell pepper and a dash of fish sauce to the dressing), but I tasted it prior to the additions and it was very good.
